One after another, three films by Anurag Kashyap over a period of seven years could not be released, due to censorship by both the state and the market.
These years have forced a lot of introspection. I’ve not had a release in seven years. I often can’t deal with that. Yet I survive because I’ve been trained for it. I’ve been training myself since I was five.
He’s talking about child abuse.
A day or two after that article appeared in Tehelka, the Supreme Court allowed the release of Black Friday, a pirated copy of which I have anyway :)

Read this one already. A very interesting piece; it makes me want to watch all three of his films.
