Kashmir belongs to Kashmiris
This photo had appeared widely in the papers. Nobody seems to have advised Pratibha Patil how kashmiris will interpret this picture. This was much before the uprising since the last wek of June.
I want to say that India’s continued repression in Kashmir is not in my name. I don’t want to meet a Kashmiri and not be able to see him/her in the eye with the guilt of being an India.

So you want the ‘repression’ of Indian state to be replaced by ‘repression’ of a ‘taliban’ like state where individuals don’t even have religious freedom. A state born out of in-tolerance and ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri Pundits. The Indian state has the right to defend itself and the freedom of its citizens. If the Kashmiris want to live in Pakistan, then Indian state should abrogate the article 370 allow them to sell their land and possessions to Indians who want to be in the Indian state and let them migrate to PoK. Hell, lets pay each Kashmiri who doesn’t want to be an Indian citizen enough money to buy/(or rent for 2 years) a house in PoK and let them all go. However loss of territory to a fundamentalist taliban like state opposed to even the little liberty and freedom we have in India is un-acceptable.

It is one thing to criticise Indian State for its human rights violations. It is another to claim that J&K is Indian adminstered/controlled territory. If some people dont want to live in India let them go to Pakistan or elsewhere and why should India cede a part of it. How about PoK.
Is all well with Pakistan or with PoK.
Who are you to tell us where we should Live.We didn’t occupied your country.It is your army who has occupied our country.Why dont you ask UN who has passed resolutions on Kashmir.Kashmir is of Kashmiris and anybody like Kashmiri Hindus who ever among them wants to live with India can vote for India in a referundun through UN.We are oppressed people,slaves of ex slaves.Our fault is that we believed the secularism and democracy which Ghandhi and Nehru had propagated, but unfortunately time has proved it to be a farce and sham.

Well living in India and other couple of countries this is my observation.
India though large population really offers a lot more freedom and expression than any other country. Come to US and throw a stone at the police officer and you will be jail for 5/10yrs. I saw people throwing stones at the army and police who are also human beings and feelings, i don’t understand why the govt is so weak. It’s time army strict action against anybody throwing stones. You cannot have a perfect world and perfect people and no God is perfect as well. First respect the country which has given democracy, freedom and right of speech and respect the law and flag. Religion is the last thing you want to worry and if it such a concern then the fact was Hinduism, Buddisim and Sikhism flourished in Kashmir before the people was converted to Islam. Remember your great ancestor was a Hindu. So read the history and you know it was once a hindu land. So Kashmir will be always an integral part of India and India govt should remove article 370 and integrate it. Indian Govt wake up and it’s time to act and don’t go down in history as a looser.
